2 c. flour
½ c. soft butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1/4 tsp salt
2 Tbsp milk
½ tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla

Mix dry ingredients together.  Cut in butter until crumbly. Stir in egg, milk and vanilla.  Kneed lightly and form into a ball.  Wrap in wax paper and chill at least 2 hours.  Roll out 1/4 at a time on floured board about 1/4″ thick.  Cut with cookie cutters.  Bake at 350 for 6 to 9 min.  May be frosted and decorated.
